Our Story

Twinklekids was started by a young lady with no performing talent, but a passion to express herself.

She created Twinklekids so that she can reenter the kingdom of children; to be a child so that she can dance freely without judgment and stress.

And Twinklekids is part of her desire to end all unhappiness in this world, and create a world of love and acceptance - to bring the masses to accept themselves and embrace the kingdom of childhood.

Dovlyn has the heart of a child; the willingness to embrace growth.

Dovlyn has surrendered her childhood to academic progress. She swapped her passion for dancing in exchange for pleasing her parents and teachers. She swapped her own will and independence to make everyone else happy by doing volunteer work.

And one day, she has decided to take it back.

Enough of pain-enduring and pain-tolerating.

She was enduring pain by doing what everyone said was good for her to do, no matter if it felt meaningful to her or not. She was tolerating pain by giving and giving, without considering if she felt happy or unhappy.

She was just following what friends told her, what the authorities suggest, and what society likes.

And there were many rude awakenings that just shook her up, and made her cry. She was used to crying, and always seemed to hold a great reservoir of tears within her, all waiting to flood her face.

Her ex-boyfriend cheated her of her savings and her heart - she cried for months. Then it was the money losing video project that she put much effort in, and which later totally went against the spirit she sought. She cried for weeks.

And then it was her new boyfriend whom she found lacking affection, and who was more interested in his spiritual development than finding a lifelong partner.

Rather than hiding the anger, frustration and unhappiness, she chose to learn and embrace them. Rather than just live with the situation, she chose to follow her passion.

Therefore, Twinklekids is an impossible dream come true.

A clumsy, clueless girl can perform. A grown up can reenter the world of children.

She says goodbye to her old volunteer club "Keep Hope Alive". She puts away her old way of mindlessly helping and pleasing people. She thanks all those who has helped her, and informs them that she has changed.

No more.
